Chibuku Review

Last night I had the pleasure of attending one of the biggest nights that is consistently put on in Liverpool 'Chibuku'. It was a cold foggy night but never the less town was still bumpin' with a mix of students and scousers who were still out from the derby. I arrived at Chibuku and the queue was huge which told me it was gearing up to be a busy one. Luckily this was the queue for the people who were paying on the door and I didn't have to wait in this because one of the promoters put me plus 2 on the guestlist (shouts to Damo for that one). As soon as we got in there we headed to the main room 'The Theatre'; we could not move in there it was heaving from wall to wall - the vibe was crazy. The Crookers were doing their thing on stage, the bass in the tunes was immense - they must of been close to destroying the venue's superb sound system. Next we headed upstairs past the moist walls and avoiding the sweatdroplets from the roof. The venue was rammed. Upstairs in 'The Loft' the vibe was no different from downstairs - full and good music filling the air with people raving the night away. When we finally managed to squeeze to the front I looked to the stage and seen what looked like a white guy is his late 50's standing on the stage monitors and rocking out to the hardest dance hall, as I got closer I realised this must the be the one and only Rodigan. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand - it was unreal. After enjoying the Rodigan experience and hitting the bar for a drink we returned to the stage to see the legendary SHY FX tearing it down with a set which ended the night perfectly.

Chibuku is definitely a great night out, there is no need to club hop you can spend the full night in the venue with a bunch of rooms, different genres and everybody in attendance from the locals to the students from all over the UK are just there to have a good time and enjoy the music. The next Chibuku is on Saturday 13th of Feb the line up features Fake Blood/ Burns/ Banana Klan feat Roots Manuva and many more be sure to attend !

4 3 2 1 Teaser – Noel Clarke’s New Film

The 'Shank' trailer got me interested in viewing UK films again - so checking out www.flicksandbits.com - I come across '4 3 2 1' by Noel Clarke. This looks very sick and quite possibly mainstream...
The movie details three days in the lives of four girls who are unknowingly connected by a major diamond robbery. 4, 3, 2, 1 stars Noel Clarke, Emma Roberts, Tamsin Egerton, Ophelia Lovibond, Shanika Warren-Marklend, Ben ‘Plan B’ Drew, Jacob Anderson, Ashley ‘Bashy’ Thomas and Adam Deacon.

Shank – Movie Trailer

This looks sick.
I must admit I still haven't watched Kidulthood or Adulthood...was scared on corny 'urban' slang (I blame Dubplate Drama) but this my friend looks like the next hype. It features Bashy, Adam Deacon and Kaya Scodelario.
Who wants to roll to this one???

NIKE Air Feather High

20100201145825189-570x427
20100201145810141-570x464

This is the Nike Air Feather High, Its basically a slimmed down version of the Air Force One it is aimed at females who do not like the bulkyness of the Air Force One. I think they are sick ! I would rock the black ones even if they are meant to be girls lol !
